Beginning

We fell in love with this property on a trip to Yosemite in the summer of 2024. We live in a very urban part of Los Angeles and crave the outdoors. We started considering whether having a second home would help us share our deep love of nature with our daughter and be a place to create lasting memories. As soon as we stepped into the great room with expansive windows overlooking the Sierras, we were sold. We saw deer passing through the backyard and wild turkeys visiting the fields. We put an offer in the following week and ended up buying this home coincidentally from two former Yosemite park rangers.

We saw the potential in this home to offer other families the same chance to slow down, reconnect, and be inspired by the outdoors. Surrounded by the peace of the Sierra Nevada foothills and just a short drive from Yosemite, the home is more than a vacation rental—it's a space to return to what matters most.

Redesign

At Yosemite Family Ranch, we’ve designed every detail with families in mind—creating a space where parents can relax and kids can explore. Whether it’s gathering around the fire pit after a day in the park, letting kids enjoy the play camper or kitchen, or sharing meals in the open-concept kitchen, our home makes it easy to connect. Just a short drive from Yosemite’s south gate, it’s the ideal home base for families seeking both adventure and comfort during their national park getaway.
